Hi, my name's Miles Johnson, and after spending 30 years pursuing a career in mechanical engineering (which I have enjoyed immensely) I decided it was time to follow my passion and work hard at not working - there are so many magical moments when your business is helping people enjoy themselves!
DayTrippers was founded on a passion for riding bikes and our desire to show our locals and overseas visitors the beautiful Bay of Plenty region. Our business provides half and full day cycling trips on the latest Giant Fathom 3 electric mountain bikes to explore amazing scenery, eat delicious local produce, have fun and maybe even build new friendships.
DayTrippers offer you set cycle tours or a customised itinerary to suit your preferences or availability. All our rides use grade 1-2 trails with a focus on amazing local scenery. We offer tour options specifically designed for cruise ship passengers arriving into Port of Tauranga - perfect for those looking for an active adventure in our beautiful Bay of Plenty.
For the free spirited rider we can provide Bike Hire and Trail Shuttle transfer options to get you to your cycle destination in style. Explore the local Tauranga City cycle trails or perhaps pedal a little further along the Omokoroa Coastal Trail using our shuttle to get you there or back.
As born & bred New Zealanders, we endeavour to provide an authentic Kiwi experience when you spend a day of adventure with us. This is a family business with its heart firmly planted in the Bay of Plenty city of Tauranga.
We love riding bikes but more we love the joy it brings you guys as our guests. We always see happy faces and that is why we do it!
